Screams in the Dark
An attraction spotlight for a northern Michigan haunt night, with a separate Blackout event after Halloween.
Start with the regular haunt
At 5548 M-66, Kalkaska, MI 49646, Screams in the Dark combines Blackwood Manor, Trails of the Lost and the Pandemonium dark carnival. The operator’s 2026 ticket page lists admission from $20 before any taxes and fees. Choose your date and available session on the official ticket calendar before driving.
Budget separately for the midway
The expanded midway adds two escape games for 2026: the five-minute Escaping Evil 2 and ten-minute Crowe Mortuary. Midway activities require separate tickets purchased at the souvenir store. Leave time and money for them if they are part of your evening.
November 1 is a different experience
A separate Blackout event is listed for . Tickets start at $30 before any taxes and fees. The operator limits the event to 400 tickets and groups of no more than four.
Expect unlit indoor haunts and minimal light on the trail, with a flickering candle as the group’s light source. Confirm availability on the separate event page; this guide does not establish whether a regular-season ticket is valid for Blackout.
Check before travelling
The ticket pages state no refunds or returns, with a refund if the organizer cancels. Minimum age, step-free access and rain procedures have not been verified. Ask the operator about those requirements before purchasing, particularly for an outdoor trail or the reduced lighting at Blackout.
Keep this as one destination for the evening. Pick a nearby meal stop after you know your ticket time, and allow room for queues and the drive home.
