The Top Five Scariest Frights

We walked, we screamed and we announced the winners of the 2011 Frighty Awards. Now we announce the “Frightful Five”! The top five scariest haunted attractions or FRIGHTS, that we screamed at during this years tour! From the beginning of October through the very end we walked through a total of twenty-three haunted mazes and took a ride on five haunted hayrides while visiting a total of eight FRIGHTS. From those eight we are deeming the following five as some of the scariest FRIGHTS:

(5) Pennhurst Asylum | Glen Springs, Pennsylvania

In eastern Pennsylvania sits a haunted abandoned asylum where patients were mis-treated and lived in inhumane living conditions. Since it’s closing in 1987, Pennhurst Asylum has sat vacant until now as it opens during the month of October as Pennhurst Asylum! This fright has been deemed the top in the country by many, but what did we think!? (Read review…)

(4) Valley of Fear | Feasterville, Pennsylvania

The Valley of Fear delivered a great performance this year. The hayride through the darkest woods in Bucks County was one of the best and ZRC a zombie ridden lab took us on a wild and twisted maze of carnage blood and flesh! Read our review from our final experience this Halloween! (Read review…)

(3) Night of Terror | Mullica Hill, New Jersey

The Night of Terror in Mullica Hill, New Jersey is by far one of the scariest haunted attractions in the state, possibly in the Northeast! With six attractions including one of the scariest haunted mazes we ever walked through, you are sure to scream during this intense visit to one of our scariest haunted attractions! (Read review…)

(2) Corner of Chaos | East Windsor, New Jersey

Harvesting fear at the Corner of Chaos is the priority during this hellish time of the year. Jim and his crew have created a masterpiece with four attractions including our “Maze of the Year” the Barbaric Barnyard. Take a stroll through the darkest woods, scariest corn maze, a terrifying barn or take a ride on a classic hayride! We know you’ll scream! (Read review…)

Without a doubt, Field of Terror is the scariest attraction in New Jersey and possibly the Northeast! Boasting a total of four attractions that have been designed to create fear in your mind, the crews at Field of Terror have mastered the art of terror. With a 3D maze that leaves you lost to a 6 acre corn maze that keeps you wandering for 45 minutes, Field of Terror is a beast in the industry! (Read review…)
